‘Sup dawg,
It took me some sweet time, but I finally managed to get my affairs in order, specifically with my books.
Spiral Highway, Lap 26
All of the updates for Spiral Highway have been successfully brought over from Patreon. All of the upcoming chapters will be shorter and come out monthly. I’m working on a Spiral Highway-related side project. I can’t wait for you to see it!
Witches’ Quarter, Spell V
We’re going into the final third of the first book. If you want to keep up to date, read STRAVA. The newest spell came out in issue #45.
Other comic-related work
At the moment, I’m doing layouts for my other two comic projects. I can’t share anything at the moment. Most of it is just a bunch of scribbles, anyway. However, both of them are shaping into something.
As for writing, I did a bunch of outlines for some potential new stuff and repolished the old ones. Somehow I managed to resurrect an old project, that might be suitable as a “Substack exclusive”, but it wouldn’t be a solo endeavor, so it is going to take some time for all of the pieces to fall into place.
I also started compiling some unpublished stuff for Ibrahim Coyle. The plan is to put everything out from the archives around June as I did with issues #21 and #22 over at Global Comix. I don’t want to promise anything, but I’m going to try and release issue #23 by then. After that, the title will go into its next phase.
Sorry for my low frequency of posting, but if you’re up for something more insightful regularly, check out Gutternaut!
Where to now?
Most of my time goes into formatting and promoting my stuff for various platforms and it takes a lot away from my drawing schedule.
Considering Substack is offering a lot of options, Global Comix being more open than Comixology ever has, Medibang and NamiComi offering potential awards, and various webcomic sites like Webtoon and Tapas having cemented their staying power, what is your poison? On what platform should I concentrate the most?
I would also like to hear from you!
I’ll try my best to make this a monthly thing, but no promises.
Thanks for reading!
